How to use your pillow

Your HavenSleep Neck Pillow has two sides with two heights. This guide shows you how to position it, how to choose your side and height, and how to care for the cover.

Before the first night

  • The pillow arrives rolled up. After unpacking, let it air out in a well-ventilated place until it has regained its full shape.
  • New foam may have a slight smell of its own at first.

How to position the pillow

  • Head zone: rest your head in the round cradle in the middle. The memory foam gives way under your head.
  • Neck zone: your neck rests on the area in front of the cradle.
  • Shoulder zone: when you lie on your side, the curved sides leave room for your shoulder.
  • Arm zone: the outer wings leave room for your arm under the pillow.

Lie down the way you like to sleep best, give the pillow a quick adjustment and you're settled. No fluffing, no folding: the memory foam keeps its shape.

Choose your side and height

  • Side A is 12 cm (4.7 in) high, side B 9.5 cm (3.7 in). The heights refer to the foam without load. To switch, just flip the pillow over.
  • If you mostly sleep on your side and have broader shoulders, try side A first.
  • If you mostly sleep on your back or sleep on a soft mattress, start with side B.
  • The surest way is to compare: sleep a few nights on one side, then a few nights on the other.

The first nights

  • Keep your old pillow within reach.
  • If you're used to sleeping on a soft pillow, memory foam can feel unfamiliar at first. Some people need no adjustment, others a few nights.
  • If anything feels uncomfortable or you notice any discomfort, stop using the pillow.
  • The pillow is not a medical device. If you have persistent symptoms, please talk to your doctor.

Caring for the cover and the foam

Cover

  • The cover has a zipper and is removable and washable. Open the zipper and take the cover off the foam to wash it.
  • If your cover has a care label, follow its instructions.
  • Let the cover dry completely before you put it back on the foam.

Foam core

  • The core is one piece of memory foam (polyurethane). Please do not wash the foam core.
