What a flat pillow does to your sleeping position.
On a flat pillow, side sleepers often end up in an awkward position. Four things can happen:
- Your shoulder gets squeezed: pinned under your head for hours.
- Your neck bends: your chin tips down or your head tilts up instead of staying straight.
- Your arm gets in the way: it ends up squeezed under your shoulder, and by morning it may have fallen asleep.
- Your face takes the pressure: the side of your jaw presses into the pillow.

As a rule of thumb: if you mostly sleep on your side and have broader shoulders, try the 12 cm (4.7 in) side first. If you mostly sleep on your back or sleep on a soft mattress, start with the 9.5 cm (3.7 in) side. The surest way is to compare: a few nights on each side.

Open the zipper, remove the cover and wash it. If your cover has a care label, follow its instructions. Let the cover dry completely before you put it back on. Please do not wash the foam core.
Probably not. The pillow has a butterfly shape measuring 59 × 40 cm (23.2 × 15.7 in). The cover included is cut to fit this shape. A replacement cover is not currently available.
